A 17th Century property situated in a quiet, pretty Cotswold hamlet, surrounded by fields and many foot paths. King Athelstan is believed to have had his court in the adjacent field overlooking the Tetbury branch of the River Avon, hence the name Court Cottage. The Old Roman Fosseway is the boundary line half a mile away which divides Wiltshire from Gloucestershire. Brokenborough has a tradional pub offering locally brewed ales and locally sourced food. There is a church next door, part of which dates back to the 12th Century with later additions in the 13th, 15th and 19th centuries. There are lovely walks direct from Court Cottage over the surrounding area.

The Accommodation

Own front door to dining room where breakfast is served.  Stairs to own wing of the house.  A large, light and airy twin bedded room, - 21ft (6.4m) x 15 ft (4.5m).  Colour tv, hair dryer, kettle for tea, coffee & hot drinks.   A selection of books, magazines and local information leaflets.  Wifi .   Iron & board on request.    A camp bed can be added to make the room into a family bedroom.   Modern bathroom with power shower.   There is a further “overflow” bedroom in the same wing if required. Cooked breakfast with eggs from our chickens is provided in the beamed dining room. Court Cottage also provides secure parking in its gated court yard and a garage for bicycles.
